We’re excited to share our latest enhancements to Yardi Corom with version 4.7 that make lease management simpler than ever. Upgraded dashboards provide a quick view of your portfolio, while improved security deposit handling keeps things clear at both lease and amendment levels. We’ve also added new import data objects for ETL, expanded reporting tools for easier analysis, and introduced a Toolbox menu for quicker navigation. For international users, there’s a refreshed Legal Entity screen with helpful filters and tax fields. With these updates, you’ll enjoy a smoother lease workflow from start for finish. Let’s jump into the details!

Dashboard and Admin Improvements

Portfolio dashboard enhancements

On the Portfolio dashboard, the Market and Country columns now appear in the frozen section of the listings to remain in view. To choose to show or hide these columns, click Admin > Global Configuration.

New Admin menu item with links

The new Toolbox menu added to the bottom of the main Admin menu dropdown now includes links to Reverse JournalsTenant Function, and Unpost JE screens.

Data Import Improvements

Additional import data objects for ETL support

On the Import Data screen, you can now import data for the Options Charge Schedule and Lessee Accounting Options via ETL.

Enhancements to Spaces

Property list screen now displays complete address

On the Properties list screen, the Property column now displays only the property name and the Address column now lists both lines of the property address separated by commas.

Unit and Subunit screens now list unit status

On both the Units and Subunits list screens, columns and related filters now appear for Unit Status.

Lease Enhancements

Security deposits display at lease and amendment levels

To avoid conflating or duplicating security deposits on leases and amendments, the ability to manage multiple security deposits at the lease and amendment levels is now available by using separate fields. The Original Security Deposit displays at lease level, and the editable Security Deposit displays at the amendment level. Once the amendment is activated, the Lease Information screen will show the combined deposit amounts in the Security Deposit field.

Improved display options on charge schedule screens

Rent Charges screen enhancements

  • On the Charges screen at the amendment level, you can now select a currency that will apply at the schedule level, even if it is different from the lease currency selection, by changing the selection on the Currency more menu and selecting Invoice Currency.
  • You can now enter Notes for each charge schedule at the Charge Code and the Advance Setup step levels.

Rent Schedule Setup and Other Charges Setup screen enhancements

  • Notes you have entered on charge schedule steps display on the Rent Schedule Setup and Other Charges Setup screens where you can hover over the note and view longer text.
  • On the lease Charge Schedule screen, the Notes field on the schedule steps now has options to “Show more” and “Show less” to display longer text.
  • Each charge code row on the charge schedule setup screens now reflects the current schedule step for that charge code.

Updates to Lessee Accounting

Lessee Accounting Parameters for carry forward

On the Lessee Accounting Parameter screen, the carry forward (which is the difference between the last posted ROU/Liability) auto-populates when the two conditions are met: (1) a parameter already exists; and (2) the Amortization From date has been updated.

Prorate mid-month terminations

Finance > Lessee Accounting

  • Functionality is now available during PV/amortization calculations for prorating mid-month terminations.
  • Throughout the process of rolling off a floor at a future date, partial termination logic now applies to related lessee accounting functions and reports.

ROU/Liability Setup JE early termination

Finance > Lessee Accounting > ROU/Liability Setup JE

On the lessee accounting ROU/Liability Setup JE screen, for early termination, a single JE to back out the liability/asset is automatically generated for you to post and book the difference to gain/loss.

Lessee Accounting Review enhancements

Finance > Lessee Accounting > Review

  • On the Lessee Accounting Review screen under the Amortization Schedule tab, the column names were updated from Total Rent to Straight-line Rent and SL Rent to SL Adjustment. The Amort/PV Schedule By Date Report and Amort/PV Archive Schedule Report reflect the updated column names.
  • Lessee Accounting PV/amortization calculations for early termination amendments when the charge code frequency is set for English Quarters or Scottish Quarters is now supported on the Lessee Accounting Review screen.

Simplified Transaction Management

Canceling In-Progress and Approved requirements

You can now cancel requirements with a status of In-Progress or Approved via the new Cancel Requirement button on the Requirement Information screen. When a requirement is canceled, proposals attached to the Requirement are also canceled.

Custom Fields Report

Filters to list and search for the type of custom field and applicable attributes are now available on the Custom Fields Report.

Lease Dates Summary Report

On the Lease Dates Summary Report, you can view hidden data in the Units field by hovering over the field.

Transactions Totals Summary Report

Totals on the Transactions Totals Summary Report are now exported to Excel as numeric values to facilitate arithmetic functions.

Lessee Accounting Reports enhancements

Reports > Lessee Accounting

  • Report filters are now available on Excel exports for all lessee accounting reports.
  • For all lessee accounting journal entries booked against a lease, data for YTD and MTD data (P&L section) are now included in related reports.
  • On all Lessee Accounting reports, links for each JE entry are now directed to the respective JE CTRL page.
  • On the Lessee Accounting GL Tie Out Report, a Non-Current Liability column now displays the difference between the Total Lease Liability as of Reporting Date and the Current Portion of Liability as of Reporting Date.

International Enhancements

Enhancements to Legal Entity screens

  • The design of the Legal Entity screen is now updated to reflect current Corom UI. Functional enhancements to this screen include on-screen multi-select filters to customize and save. Applies to international clients only.

  • Additionally, for international environments, applicable screens in Corom now have the following fields: Tax AuthorityTax RatesTax Tran TypesTax Points.

Adding legal entities to international properties

On the Property Information screen for international properties, the Ownership tab is hidden and the Legal Entity name is displayed and hyperlinked to the related record.
